Update: Benny Maxx

Sorry for the long gap in posts. School and work has been hectic and that leaves me with scant time to update entries in this blog. I have a tone of photos and recipes ready for posting, and will work on them very soon. At this time the dog is staying. The big dog got so sick and deteriorated fast with seizure-like episodes and blackouts. The vet gave a very poor prognosis on his condition and decided to put him to sleep. King was fifteen years old.

I searched for more information about Maxx and found out that he was born on February 9, 2007, and was part of a litter of twelve. All of the puppies were shared and given away, except for two puppies the owner kept. He is a very active dog, and likes to stay in the house and the yard. The puppy does not like to come near the gate, so I am training him to walk comfortably with a leash, around the neighborhood. I usually time it around my evening walk around the block. He's been to the vet four times since I got him last March, mostly for immunizations and wellness check. When that happens, morning appointments get scuttled or shifted. I prefer weekday vet appointments, in the morning, when there are less people and critters in the clinic. He's done with his rabies shot, and some other series.
